I was looking at a Nokia internet tablet with a view to buying one. I went to their website to do some research. The site looked good but worked slowly and jerkily. I tried to leave a comment about their site but they wanted unnecessary information and demanded agreement to terms of use for me to just send an email to their customer service department. All of this led me to believe that their customer service would not be very committed to customer service. I would recommend that Nokia not be patronized so that their negative, anti-consumer behavior will not be reinforced.

Of course, it made sense since I'd just been reading a lot of liberals explaining that Obama's comments about small town Pennslyvanians didn't mean what people thought they meant but what it obviously meant was too true to deserve discussion and why didn't I take my bitter ass to an Obama rally and get healed.

Two Legs Bad, Four Legs Good Takes Over CSPAN

Yesterday I caught the end of a program on CSPAN. It was a guy named Nicholson Baker talking about a book he had written about World War II. At the bottom of the screen it said that he is an historian. I’ve looked around the web and it seems he’s actually a novelist. But CSPAN seems to have an ungodly fear or misunderstanding of novelists and might not have known what else to do with this guy.
He said that “people” said that if oil to Japan was cut off that the Japanese would answer with war. And just before Pearl Harbor Roosevelt said oil to Japan was to be cut off. Baker argued that this made it obvious that Pearl Harbor was Roosevelt’s fault. The Japanese bore no responsibility for Pearl Harbor? Are nonwhites capable of moral responsibility? How incredibly insulting and racist. But I think there is something else at work here. American intellectuals have a lemming-like drive to attack America in any way they can. They will strain logic and evidence to strike one more blow for . . . I’m not sure exactly. Call it their hobby horse of America hate.
I can’t watch very much CSPAN any more because there is so much of this empty, baseless pathological hate set out as valid contributions to intelligent discourse. “Two legs bad, four legs good,” would be laughed at but CSPAN has no problem with, “white man bad, brown man good.” Go figure.

So in the outrageous pundit lottery, we got Ann Coulter and they got Michael Moore. Let’s see, she’s witty. He’s a painfully boring fraud. She’s a leggy blonde. He’s a morbidly obese, unshaven slob. She occasionally says something shocking. He constantly says stuff that’s laughably absurd.
If I was on the left, I’d be mad too.

Do Superdelegates Want to Evade Responsibility?

The more people express themselves the more uncomfortable the Democrats get with the whole democratic process. The longer the Democratic primary season goes on, the more talking heads want the torture of democracy to end.
And it is becoming more and more obvious that the final decision will be up to the superdelegates. And the superdelegates don’t want to have to accept responsibility. The smart ones want to hang back and get as much as they can out of the process but they sure don’t want to face the ire of the loser. Especially since it seems that the losers are going to be way more pissed than usual this year.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a moronic Democratic politician on TV. He had a very self satisfied air as he argued against the war in Iraq. He seemed to feel that, to prove the war wrong he needed only to show that people had died or been injured, period. And I think this is at the core of all of the lefties’ arguments: nothing is worth fighting or dying for so if someone has fought or died their cause is wrong. Most of them dress it up fancier but this is the core. They are antiAmerican only accidently: they would be against anything that would require bother or sacrifice. And they wouldn’t speak against jihadis because that might cause them bother or sacrifice. They are perpetual children trying to act like adults without knowing how.
By this measure we lost WW I and WW II. We had many dead and wounded in each: a sure sign it wasn't worth it. I guess the significant question to this guy is: "Where can I surrender and can I do it faster than Hillary or Barry?"
