I Neel 15,000 Readers of DKos to Sign Up to Do Without Heat and Electricity To Offset the Carbon Footprint of Algore's Newest Mansion

My small little blog does not have enough staff to keep accurate count of just how many mansions Algore is presently maintaining. Nor do we have enough staff to keep count of how many private jets he and his family and entourage use to travel between all of the mansions.

It is obvious that this one estate has a carbon footprint roughly equivalent to Texas and Brazil combined. You've got to have a little admiration for a guy who has enough chutzpah to live like this while preaching endlessly that such lifestyles are going to kill the human race. Maybe he just doesn't want to prolong the misery?


It is a good thing for us poor folk that there is no scientific valid proof of the hellish Gotterdammerung this clown with the flamboyant lifestyle predicts. Unfortunately the revelations that Algore's fearful predictions were all based on invalid and manufactured data have not slowed down many of the true believers. Sane people have to watch closely or this collection of fools will pass more economy busting and job killing laws

"The 14 percent target was set in the Environmental Protection Agency’s budget for fiscal 2010."

One of the best comments on this post said: "So we win the trifecta: we raise the prices of American-made products, we lose American jobs, and we cause a net increase of greenhouse gas emissions! But hey -- we feel good about ourselves for "saving the planet"!"

I was alerted to the this by Pundit and Pundette's little section on the right hand side titled 'Today's Recommended reads' that often leads me to interesting things I would have never otherwise known about.

Another of his jokes is green jobs. It's not so funny from where I sit. At the cost of a couple of regular jobs for the normal run of people Obama spends a bunch to create by fiat one very expensive job for one of his cronies. He might think that's funny. He might even think it will get him reelected. I don't quite see how misspending my money and spitting in my face and the faces of tens of millions of other Americans will make him look good.

One of the early writers about the links between carbon emissions and climate was Roger
Revelle. Algore took a class from Revelle while he was a student at Harvard. Gore got a 'D' in the class. In the early '90s Revelle was aware that CO2 levels were rising but he became less and less convinced that the increased CO2 necessarily caused much of an increase in temperatures. Algore, strangely, will not discuss the issue with anyone who does not share his point of view. Security guards frequently remove Gore critics from Algore's presence. I suspect Barack Obama might have learned all he knows about transparency from Algore.

There is a video here at NRO. I have not been able to escape hearing some of this strange poetry. As near as I can tell Gore's major literary influences have been Hopalong Cassidy, the Lone Ranger, early middle Bob Dylan (spanning the end of the acoustic and the beginning of the electric periods) and Wordsworth.

THE OBAMA CAPONE NEXUS

That title is not a joke; it is in there. The program runs 70 minutes. It is worth it. But if you're a regular Glenn Beck viewer, you've already heard a lot of what is here since much of his research is based on work that Horowitz has done. It gets into things like the fact that Wall St. and big drug companies are giving most of their money to the Democrats: no wonder Obama has taken much better care of them than of the poor who he claims to care about.
