I think the hollowness of the labor movement is shown by leadership's emphasis on ideology over the best interests of their members. SIEU has taken tens of millions of their dues and just given them to politicians while leaving members' pension funds criminally underfunded. At the same time millions of American workers live in despair of finding work soon but their 'leaders' want to spend money and energy keeping illegal aliens employed. American workers need labor leaders who are interested in protecting them.
