Torture in Mumbai
from jawa
kos krazies still krazy
“the overwhelming sense of revolutionary love that we have been getting ever since Barack and Michelle Obama first burst into the public spotlight together during the Democratic primaries. . . . .
We could not agree more, and it is one of the main reasons we put everything we had into getting these superheroes into the White House. Sure, they are just people like you and me, but they will be role models for an entire planet... and beyond. . . . .
It is, perhaps, the most exciting part of the Legacy Content being created by our new President-Elect. Love returns to the highest office in the world, and its healing power washes over every human being. If the aliens are watching, they will surely see a change in the energy field. Which leads me to a question.
Which comic book characters have the healthiest relationships, and what superheroes do Barack and Michelle Obama most closely embody with their love?”

Historians say marriage traditions have been fluid
but the article names no historian and cites no time or place where this has been the case. Just more "journalism" with an agenda. Newspapers don't appear to know how to find facts any longer. And if the facts don't fit the agenda, they never see the light of day.ISLAMIC WEBSITES REJOICE OVER MUMBAI ATTACKS
It's a holy war, I tell ya. Pious Muslims celebrate worldwide.
Mumbai, 27 Nov. (AKI) - Al-Qaeda websites on Thursday were swamped with messages from people who were celebrating the devastating Mumbai attacks which have left over 100 people dead and 281 injured. "Oh Allah, destroy the Hindus and do it in the worst of ways," was one of the comments that appeared on Islamist forums on the Internet immediately after the attacks.
"The battle that is underway in Mumbai is a battle for Allah between its servants and the infidels," said another message published on the al-Falluja forum.
Several Al-Qaeda sites also posted several pictures of the victims in Mumbai and provocative statements.

Hate Messages Sent to Create a ReactionPosted by Conservative Belle | 11/14/2008 12:10:00 PM | Blogosphere, Louisiana, Mississippi, Race Relations | 2 comments »
A Poplarville man faces federal charges of using the social networking Web site Facebook to threaten college students in three states, including Mississippi, for supporting President-elect Barack Obama. He sent the messages from his home to students at other universities too.
FBI agents arrested Dyron Hart, 19, at his home Wednesday and charged him with sending threatening electronic messages.
Hart told authorities he did it to "create a reaction," the FBI affidavit said.
Authorities said Hart, who also is black, admitted making up the alias and sending the messages from his home to students at NSU, Louisiana State University, the University of Mississippi, the University of Alabama as well as to people in Poplarville. If you are the recipient of these kinds of messages or threats, you should report them to the authorities immediately. I recall a Cotillion sister posting a story condemning some white supremacists who were running for office for their hateful rhetoric and she received a number of alarming threats. It is difficult to know in this electronic world if someone is serious or attempting some kind of sick prank. It is better to be safe than sorry. The FBI has a cyber-crime unit and they will respond to matters such as these, in addition to the predatory crimes of sex offenders using the Internet.
Agents were able to trace the sender of the messages through the Internet protocol, or IP, address, the affidavit said.
"It doesn't necessarily matter if it's a joke or someone plans on carrying it out; it's a matter of sending a threat through an e-mail," FBI spokeswoman Sheila Thorne said.
Social networking was used by the parent of a teenager to bully and terrorize another child, who eventually committed suicide over the matter. The recent murder of the woman who in Louisiana by the KKK is another example of how the Internet can be dangerous. Yes, the Internet can be a fun place to express ideas and learn, but it can also be a place where the vulnerable can be lured into extreme situations. It should not be used to defame, trick, harm or incite fear and violence.
Joke or not, I'm glad this person was caught, regardless of their race or their motive. The authorities did a good job.

Hey, Obambi, About Those Taxes…
Posted by: B.C., Imperial Torturer™ in Democrat Culture of Corruption, Hypocrites, Race Baiting Assholes, Socialist Swine, Totalitarians8:51 AM
Here’s a little “heads-up” to the Communist-elect, when it comes to “taxing the rich”— Ya’ might wanna start off with the thief who’s in charge of writing the tax laws.
First there is the Washington Post’s revelation that Rangel inappropriately claimed a tax break on his D.C. townhouse by claiming it was his primary residence. The five-year charade only netted the congressman from Harlem about $1,500, which is relatively small potatoes. But it nicely dovetails with two other Rangel escapades of late: That he failed to pay taxes on $75,000 in rental income from his luxury beach villa in the Caribbean because he—ahem—didn’t know it was income; and that he scored several rent-stabilized apartments in New York, each of which he must claim as his primary residence. Taken all together, it looks like the top tax-writer in Congress is a tax cheat.
You’ll notice that the LefTards and their mouthpieces, the Lamestream Midiots™, have been strangely silent about Pimp Daddy Rangel’s multiple, multi-year felonies, whereas they’ve been haranguing and hounding Sen. Ted Stevens (R-Alaska), endlessly, for having his house worked on by constituents, pro bono. William “Cold Cash” Jefferson (D-Loserana) is STILL serving in the Politburo, over four years after being caught commandeering a National Guard truck to retrieve $90,000+ dollars of bribe money from the freezer of his New Orleans brothel crib.
“Hypocrisy, Thy Name Is Donk Communist.”

With The Economy in the Mess It's in We Have to Thank the Media for Sparing Us from Facts
Obama supporters were ignoramuses
Just 2% of voters who supported Barack Obama on Election Day obtained perfect or near-perfect scores on a post election test which gauged their knowledge of statements and scandals associated with the presidential tickets during the campaign, a new Zogby International telephone poll shows. Only 54% of Obama voters were able to answer at least half or more of the questions correctly.
The 12-question, multiple-choice survey found questions regarding statements linked to Republican presidential candidate John McCain and his vice-presidential running-mate Sarah Palin were far more likely to be answered correctly by Obama voters than questions about statements associated with Obama and Vice-President-Elect Joe Biden. The telephone survey of 512 Obama voters nationwide was conducted Nov. 13-15, 2008, and carries a margin of error of +/- 4.4 percentage points. The survey was commissioned by John Ziegler, author of The Death of Free Speech, producer of the recently released film “Blocking the Path to 9/11″ and producer of the upcoming documentary film, Media Malpractice…How Obama Got Elected.
“After I interviewed Obama voters on Election Day for my documentary, I had a pretty low opinion of what most of them had picked up from the media coverage of the campaign, but this poll really proves beyond any doubt the stunning level of malpractice on the part of the media in not educating the Obama portion of the voting populace,” said Ziegler.
Ninety-four percent of Obama voters correctly identified Palin as the candidate with a pregnant teenage daughter, 86% correctly identified Palin as the candidate associated with a $150,000 wardrobe purchased by her political party, and 81% chose McCain as the candidate who was unable to identify the number of houses he owned. When asked which candidate said they could “see Russia from their house,” 87% chose Palin, although the quote actually is attributed to Saturday Night Live’s Tina Fey during her portrayal of Palin during the campaign. An answer of “none” or “Palin” was counted as a correct answer on the test, given that the statement was associated with a characterization of Palin.
Obama voters did not fare nearly as well overall when asked to answer questions about statements or stories associated with Obama or Biden — 83% failed to correctly answer that Obama had won his first election by getting all of his opponents removed from the ballot, and 88% did not correctly associate Obama with his statement that his energy policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry. Most (56%) were also not able to correctly answer that Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground.
Nearly three quarters (72%) of Obama voters did not correctly identify Biden as the candidate who had to quit a previous campaign for President because he was found to have plagiarized a speech, and nearly half (47%) did not know that Biden was the one who predicted Obama would be tested by a generated international crisis during his first six months as President.
In addition to questions regarding statements and scandals associated with the campaigns, the 12-question, multiple-choice survey also included a question asking which political party controlled both houses of Congress leading up to the election — 57% of Obama voters were unable to correctly answer that Democrats controlled both the House and the Senate.

Hopefully Al Gore will Teach This Overly Reasonable Man A Lesson
He seems like a reasonable well informed bloke. But I've gotten too accustomed to threats and lots of dire predictions in my science. And I quickly tire of his measured and thoughtful, 'on the one hand this and on the other hand that' approach. Good old Al Gore doesn't fool around with over thinking these issues: he just comes right out and says his position is settled science and everyone else is lying to us. I like not having to think too much or do any research. I especially respect the way Al Gore never wasted time or money on scientific degrees. No, you've got to respect someone who doesn't waste time on argument or discussion. Al Gore isn't afraid to apply a little muscle to science. Like the guy says people are afraid to lose their jobs if they publicly disagree with Gore. Now there's a guy who is willing to break a few heads just so I don't have to think too much. Maybe someday Al Gore will share the scientific secret that allows him to fly private jets and and drive around in fleets of SUVs without harming the environment. He must have some secret technology because if he engaged in that dangerous behavior while saying what he says in public it would make him just another money grubbing hypocrite and not the great leader of mankind he claims to be.
Here's A Surprising Development
U.S. Media Ignoring Obama Mistakes With India/Pakistan
-By Warner Todd Huston
Naturally, the U.S. media is following the terrorist crimes in Mumbai, India, as well they should. But, the attacks seem to be the Old Media’s only interest where it concerns India and Pakistan, of late, for they’ve completely ignored the several mistakes that Barack Obama has already made with his attempts at foreign policy with the two embattled nations.
Back on November 11, I noted that Obama had made his first mistakes with both India and Pakistan by mishandling early talks with their leaders (or not having them at all, as the case may be). During his first major effort to contact foreign leaders as president elect, Obama called Pakistan’s President Asif Ali Zardari but neglected to call India’s Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh. This short shrifting did not sit well with the Indian government.
Then, Obama appointed to his transition team a woman named Sonal Shah whom the Pakistanis say has ties with a violent Hindu Nationalist Party in India that they claim is responsible for a rampage in Gujarat, India that killed many Muslims and Christians.
Worse, during his outreach to Pakistan’s Zardari, Obama promised that he’d help settle the trouble between India and Pakistan over Kashmir and he did this without asking India if his help was wanted by India. As a result, India got its nose out of joint and immediately said that Obama’s “help” with Kashmir was not wanted.
Well, more on Obama’s unwanted offer with the Kashmir problem has been reported by various Indian and Pakistani news agencies. An Indian official has reiterated that Obama’s help with Kashmir was neither asked for nor wanted. External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee refused Obama’s offer again at a recent press conference held with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
The Indian Express news group reports that on Wednesday Mukherjee “shot down US President-elect Barack Obama’s suggestion that former US President Bill Clinton could prod India and Pakistan into making peace over Kashmir.”
The remarks were also reported at KashmirWatch.com.
On Jammu and Kashmir, Mukherjee rejected any third party interference, when asked to comment on the reports that the US president-elect was moving to appoint Bill Clinton as his emissary to settle Kashmir issue. “There was no question of the intervention of third party. Kashmir is a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan. It is part of composite dialogue process,” he stressed.
These are some embarrassing stumbles on India and Pakistan and shows that Obama won’t be able to flash his dazzling smile and have the world’s leaders just fall at the feet of The One happy to follow his policy ideas.
Curiously, I can’t find this news reporting Obama’s thus far failed attempts at diplomacy in any American news source. Why do you think that is?

As you probably know, a team of Puma PAC volunteers has been poring over the obama campaign finance reports looking for glaring discrepancies. Since late last week they have found over $320,000 worth of donations that are over the $4,600 limit and many obviously bogus identities, including one from a person named E. Z., occupation Blogger.
One person in Florida donated $20,600 as an individual. Wow.
And then there’s Kathie O’Dwyer, also of Florida, who must have been experiencing Paroxysms of Obamadoration on June 11th. When the kool-aid high was all over, she woke up with $5,900 hangover. No word yet on how Ms. O’Dwyer is handling the news that Prez Select is just not that into her.

Pilate's Wife
This book is like a like a tour of the Roman world in the early first century. It moved from the south of France to Germany then to Rome. Then it continued to Alexandria in Egypt followed by the Syrian city of Antioch before returning to Rome. From Rome it moved to Pompeii and then to Palestine. The narrator is a member of the imperial family so the story includes Tiberius, Livia, Sejanus, Caligula, Nero and Germanicus as well as Pilate, the high priest Caiaphus, Mary the Magdalene, Mary the mother and Jesus.
It tells the story of the passion , death and resurrection of Jesus. The cult of Isis and that of Dionysius are explored. The life of one of the Vestal virgins is also related. The book is a spiritual and geographical travelogue of the early first century Roman world. Sometimes, when a number of myths, rituals and ideas were in the air, I felt that this was similar to what Hesse had intended in his Glass Bead Game.
The author returned to college to study the classics to prepare to write this book. And it shows in the world she created in her novel .
But the book has weaknesses. The characters tend to be one dimensional and much like those found in romantic fiction. And it has another weakness common to historical fiction. The narrator’s motives and values are closer to those of a contemporary New Jersey housewife than those of a member of the Roman imperial family.

Why Franken Is So Optimistic About the Recount
"A woman who worked for Al Franken earlier this week during the Senate recount in one county ended up counting ballots as a nonpartisan volunteer here Saturday in a recount that grew heated at times.
"Maggie Vertin, who spent two days in Fergus Falls for Otter Tail County’s recount as an observer for Franken, was one of eight volunteers who assisted with the Wilkin County effort in Breckenridge. Bob Westfall, who was in Breckenridge on Saturday as an observer for Norm Coleman, said he had concerns when members of his team learned a ballot counter had worked for Franken."
The maintenance of a system of government such as devised by our founding fathers requires basic levels of decency and honesty that are becoming less common.

A Procedural Issue?
Am I a vertebrate or am I a biped? The correct answer is whatever the California supreme court needs to say to end up with the result they'd already decided on.
As to equal rights, I am as much against two straight people of the same sex marrying each other as as I am opposed to marriage between two homosexual people of the same sex. Equal protection in this discussion is a canard.

Rehash on Inexperience
Yet another not so fun fact about Barack Obama. No matter what he is calm. Nothing bothers him enough to become emotional. His campaign is attacked so much that he has to go on the tube and make a “major address.” He stays up late writing the whole thing himself and the next day he comes out totally even and relaxed. It’s a better than average speech for an American politician and he delivers it without any sign of anxiety or tension: as if it’s just a normal event on a normal day. HE IS TOO CALM. Nothing ever has any emotional effect on him. This is pathological, probably severely pathological. There is no there there. It looks like he might be totally empty at core. He is an incomplete person who is all outsides without insides. If you look at his history he has never been tested. He has never been in a situation that pushed him to his limit. What will it take for that to happen? And how will he react? Professional politicians tend to be highly sociopathic but Obama has the look and feel of a really slick sociopath. Take Tony Soprano but twice as intelligent and well educated and surround him with a bunch of smart yes men. Just watch out for Obama. Who knows what will finally set this guy off. Maybe they'll run out of white meat at Thanksgiving and he'll snap. And what will he do? It could be terrifying.
One last observation. He gives a major speech and won't take questions. And the MSM didn't even notice. The question isn't whether or not the media is in the tank for Obama. The question is just how far are they in the tank.
I watched many of the presidential debates. I found one of the early Democratic debates startling. Senator Obama said a couple of really stupid things that were overlooked by everyone there and by the MSM. Senator Obama said that Osama bin Laden was located between Afghanistan and Pakistan. And he said this twice. This was at a time when it was generally accepted that bin Laden was located in Waziristan, which is in Pakistan. A quick look at the map reveals that there is no geographical area that falls between Afghanistan and Pakistan. No one in the media noticed or cared about senator Obama looking like the least informed Harvard grad to ever to appear on national TV. They didn’t even give him a quiz about the heads of state of little known countries.
In the same debate senator Obama proposed that the US should, without consulting with the government of Pakistan, launch air strikes on Pakistani territory. While this has happened and will probably continue to happen, it is not the kind of thing members of a government speak about in public. Should senator Obama become the Democratic nominee the Pakistani government might be forced to deal with this issue in ways that might be dangerous to American troops and American interests. Either senator Obama is naïve which I doubt. Or he has little concern for the safety of our armed forces. Or maybe there is another explanation that I don’t see. But I don’t like what I do see. It looks like poor judgment and ambition to me.
One more disturbing incident; In a recent debate with senator Clinton senator Obama spoke about our troops in Afghanistan not having enough armored vehicles or enough ammunition to perform their duty properly or safely. Apparently he had been told this story by an officer over there. And he shared the story during the debate to illustrate the poor handling of the war. I was surprised that a US senator who can have some impact heard the story, did nothing to solve what he saw as a problem and apparently just forgot about the whole thing until his memory was jogged long after in a debate. Don’t we want a president who would do what is best for the troops instead of letting a problem fester until he thinks it’s of value to further his ambitions?
These three incidents cause me to feel that senator Obama lacks the preparedness, maturity and judgment to deal with foreign affairs or be commander in chief. This is compounded by the fact that he has never undergone sustained questioning from anyone critical of his candidacy or his policies. He will no doubt be presidential material some day, but not now.
I think all this is especially notable now in November as a reminder of the incompetence of the dinosaur media.

My Latest Stupid Idea
So here’s my stupid idea. At present, Congress is giving hundreds of billions of dollars to most any company that asks. This is great because everyone enjoys people with money and power making fools of themselves on a large scale right out in public and everything. I think Jon Stewart might thus define the essence of humor. But Congress is passing up a chance to give us even more laughs for our billions. Congress needs to start bailing out future fuck ups (fuck ups who won’t find their way into Congress). For example, there’s an eight year old little girl next door. Her father has a small, successful business. And little Heather is very capable of growing up and running a giant corporation into the ground. Congress should take Couric, Ross, Lauer, Blitzer and a bunch of cameras and give Heather forty or fifty billion. It would be absurdly funny. That wonderful kind of funny that ensues when you have no control over a situation and you have to try to find it amusing to keep from becoming violent or succumbing to paralyzing depression. Add to this the satisfying sense of moral and intellectual superiority that will be enjoyed by everyone not in Congress or the media. A scene like this would provide plenty of fodder for both Republicans and Democrats to glow with self-satisfaction. Congress is going to throw the money away without regard to public opinion or the good of the Republic anyway. We might as well get something out of it.
But here is the sad part. They will not give Heather any money because Heather has never given them any. Congress is going to give trillions away but only to people and corporations that have already given bribes to members of Congress. They call these bribes campaign contributions and they have made it legal for you to bribe them. But a bribe is a bribe. And the bribes are what activate the bail outs.
My advise to America is to not become violent or depressed. Look upon the present Congress as an endless source of laughter. But go easy on the moral and intellectual superiority lest it sap energy that might better be mobilized to throw every last one of those thieving, bribe taking clowns out of office.

Doesn't it suck to have class?
Because having class means you can't do things like this:"Democrats prepare to move forward with investigations of Bush administration" ... Drudge Report
To prevent this from happening, I offer the following scenario......
On January 15, 2009, George Bush resigns. Dick Cheney becomes president and appoints Sarah Palin as VP. On January 16, Cheney resigns and Palin becomes America's first female president and immediately pardons all former, current, and future, Bush administration personnel. On January 17, Palin appoints Michael Steele, the first black Lt. Governor of Maryland, as VP. On January 18, Palin resigns and Steele becomes America's first black president. On January 19, Steele issues a pardon to Palin. On January 20, Barack Obama, becomes America's second black president.
The End

Compulsory Civil Service
I can't help imagining that this is some kind of veiled attempt to escalate mass indoctrination of leftie ideals in every young person in America (within R. Emanuel's sarcastic, "circle of love"). Government's capitulation to the teachers' unions has made it difficult for schools to inculcate much besides mediocrity and the search for endless ways to get paid without working so the search for other modes of indoctrination continues.
I Guess It Isn't Easy Being President
I hope Barack Obama takes the challenges seriously. If I have a sense he is being thoughtful and careful I'll do my best to maintain a nonpartisan spirit. But I will report on any severe and pathological partisanship from the new administration.

Past Presidents Governed, Obama Team Will RULE
We got by for a couple of hundred years without a king. Are in for a change?
Are You a Lobbyist? The Obama Administration Wants to Hire You
Back in April of 2007, for instance, Obama made a show of giving back donations from some Washington lobbyists to illustrate his intolerance for them. At the time campaign spokesman Bill Burton said to The New York Times that it was a “symbol” of Obama’s disdain for lobbyists.
“As we’ve said and as this illustrates, this policy isn’t a perfect solution to the problem of money and politics and special interest sway in Washington,” Mr. Burton said. “But it is an important symbol of the kind of administration that Obama will have in the White House.”
In October of 2007, the Washington Post noted that Obama had “fulminated against ‘lobbyists’ and ‘insiders,’ and claimed that (he) will end ‘business as usual’ in Washington if elected president.”
But, now all of a sudden, lobbyists don’t sound like such bad fellows to Obama. Politico reported on November 5 that Barack Obama has stepped back from his claim that lobbyists would not have a place in his new administration.
Despite campaign trail promises that special interests wouldn’t be a part of his administration, President-elect Barack Obama’s has sent signals to the lobbyists that they can get jobs with him.
…the overall message to the lobbying community appears to run counter to the Democratic senator’s campaign promise to keep special interest advocates at arms length.
Apparently, lobbyists are getting the message and are lining up out the door to get plum spots in Obama’s administration.
“The rush is on,” he said. “There are thousands and thousands of people (lobbyists) who are desperate for these jobs.”
And then on November 6 we find that Obama has picked a lobbyist to become his new FCC head. DC insider Henry Rivera, a former Democratic FCC commissioner, and partner in the lobbyist law firm Wiley Rein, is being picked by Team Obama.
While not currently registered as an active lobbyist, he has been engaged as such as recent as 2001. His law firm is also heavily involved in efforts to lobby on telecom issues.
Rivera’s law firm is also the former home of Kevin Martin, the current FCC chairman, and is arguably one of the schmooziest lobbyist telecom legal firms in Washington. It employs several former FCC commissioners as well as a significant number of former FCC employees. Of course, Rivera and the other lawyers at Wiley Rein are not the only people at the FCC to leave government for high-paying lobbyist gigs–the practice is widespread.
Does any of this sound like a “new” Washington to you?
So far, after only four short days, the names have changed but the story remains the same.

Random Thoughts After the Fall
The L A Times says 82% voted in L. A. County. Wow, do I ever find that impossible to believe. I think you need two outside sources to confirm anything the Times says.
I was happy to see that Al Franken lost. I was thinking that he would just make the senate look like a bunch of moronic clowns. But today I realize that I’ve thought for years that they are a bunch of moronic clowns. Moronic, bribe taking, selfish, greedy, dishonest, sell out clowns. But most Americans think little about them. Maybe a Franken victory would be good if it got people to pay attention to the thieving, clownish crimes going on in Washington.

LA Times Too Busy with Layoffs to Report News
That seems to be the L.A. Times' new creed.
The above word for word from http://suitablyflip.blogs.com/suitably_flip/
Why buy the L. A. Times if you already know what they will say (and what they would never say)? Thus readership is down, thus ad revenue is down, thus they have to lay off staff. But, since there are so many stories they would never report on, they probably still have too many staff.
