Finest Links In All Of Christendom

Dr. Melissa Clouthier has a post titled Decadent Democrats And Republican Bums that asks the question, ""The bums didn’t listen in 2004, 2006 and 2008. Are the Republican bums listening now?"
When I can locate them, I enjoy listening to the doctor's podcasts while I take a walk.

From the B Cast from Friday Scott Baker and Liz Stephans interview Dr John C. Drew who used to be a very commited Marxist revoulutionary. Dr. Drew had a couple of discussions with Barack Obama about Marxist theory while Obama was at Occidental College. Drew says there is no doubt that Obama was a commited Marxist at that point.

Here are a couple of evenings of Glenn Beck dealing mainly with what is going on in Europe. The second has a too short appearance by Andrew Breitbart. One. Two.

JammieWearingFool covers Harry Reid letting go on the American Bar Association because they only give passable marks to one of his court nominees. Ried thinks they don't know enough about the real world. How many believe Reid knows over much about the real world?

S. E. Cupps' Diary can be enjoyable if you like a little chart about books and people and life among the lower middle class in DC.

Town Hall at UNLV: .Reid and His Followers Will Probably Be Compared to Brown Shirts.

*************************************************************

h/t: Breitbart TV

According to NewsBusters, Harry Reid held an invitation only Town Hall meeting at UNLV that was attended almost exclusively by his supporters. The Las Vegas Review-Journal said, “"I'm here to tell you that when President (Barack) Obama signs this bill into law, Nevada will benefit more than almost any other," Reid, D-Nev., said before he was interrupted.” Apparently Reid was not willing or able to give reasons what that legislative monstrosity is any good to anyone.
Reid was interrupted by a member of the audience who wanted to state his objections to DemCare. The Las Vegas Review-Journal says, “Several men in the audience then grabbed him by the arms and dragged him to campus police, who released him outside.” Reid and his followers will probably be compared to Brown Shirts. That seems like an apt comparison.
The Review-Journal also said:“The toughest encounter was with Jeff Jones, 33, of Las Vegas, a multimedia Web designer who owns his own business. Jones asked Reid why he didn't take questions.
“Reid told Jones he was welcome to participate in his next "tele-town hall," in which the senator takes questions over the phone, a strategy the campaign says allows him to address thousands of people at a time instead of several hundred. But it also serves to insulate Reid from voters and critics.”
No doubt the tele-town hall will also give Reid the Brown Shirt-like advantage to keep anyone from hearing anything his critics might have to say.
Newsbusted could find no report of this bizarro world town hall in any of the state run media. And NB observed that, “. . . one would think the Senate Majority Leader holding a well-choreographed, invitation only, no questions town hall meeting where a dissenter was physically removed would be quite newsworthy.
“After all, if George W. Bush was still president, and Reid was a Republican, CNN would likely have fact-checked the Majority Leader's comment about Nevada benefiting more from healthcare reform than almost any other state.
“What a difference a "D" makes, huh?”

Thank You Pelosi, Reid, Boxer and Feinstein For Leaving the Borders Wide Open

Because of the unwillingness of congress to protect our borders we have increasing violence and lawlessness spreading from south of the border into the US. IL recently read a story vast sums of money and drug trade related violence in Houston, Texas. Now there is this story in USAToday about massive growth of drug trade and violence in Atlanta, Georgia. Below are some quotations from that story.

Atlanta has not seen a fraction of the violence that engulfs much of northern Mexico, but law enforcement officials are increasingly concerned about the cartels' expanding operations here.
"The same folks who are rolling heads in the streets of Ciudad Juárez" — El Paso's Mexican neighbor — "are operating in Atlanta. Here, they are just better behaved," says Jack Killorin, who heads the Office of National Drug Control Policy's federal task force in Atlanta.
The same regional features that appeal to legitimate corporate operations — access to transportation systems and proximity to major U.S. cities — have lured the cartels, Atlanta U.S. Attorney David Nahmias says.

====================

Nahmias calls northeast suburban Gwinnett County, about 30 miles northeast of Atlanta, the "epicenter" of the region's drug activity.
Gwinnett's Hispanic population surged from 8,470 in 1990 to 64,137 in 2000, according to the Pew Hispanic Center. Now, 17% of the county's 776,000 people are Hispanic.
"You see Mexican drug-trafficking operations deploying representatives to hide within these communities in plain sight," Benson says. "They were attempting to blend into the same communities as those who were hard-working, law-abiding people."

-----------------------------------------------------------------

"We've got direct linkages between cartel representatives who take their orders from cartel leadership in Mexico," Benson says.
From the border, shipments of marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin are routed over land to Atlanta for storage in a network of stash houses. They are then moved to distribution operations in the Carolinas, Tennessee, the Mid-Atlantic, New York and New England.
Cash is generally moved over the same routes back to the Atlanta area, where balance sheets are reconciled. The bundles of money are turned over to transportation units for bulk shipments back to Mexico, Benson says.

Some Democrat Senators Oppose The New Budget; Reid Goes Procedural On Them

The AP is reporting some resistance among Democrat senators to the budget bill. Some of them don’t want massive amounts of money given to a company notorious for funneling money from federal boondoggles into the campaign funds of law makers who vote to give them the money. Could we be turning a corner on legalized bribery? One can hope. But I suspect they’re just cutting an egregious abuser out of the herd. Here’s a quote from the AP story:
“Most significantly, Democrats Evan Bayh of Indiana and Russ Feingold of Wisconsin announced Wednesday that they will vote against the bill. Both urged Obama to veto it.
“"There's just a disconnect between what people are having to go through in their daily lives - tightening their belts, economizing where they can - and what they see the government is doing," Bayh said in an interview. "I just think it's tone deaf and, substantively, we do need to get the deficit under control."
Democratic leaders scrambled to hold onto other Democrats, even as some GOP leaders conceded the bill is going to pick up GOP votes that would prove critical to its passage.
““I just don't know whether we have enough votes to stop it," said Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., the No. 3 GOP leader in the Senate.
“The measure contains budget increases, on average, of 8 percent for the domestic agencies it covers, far more than they received under the Bush administration. But moderates such as Bayh are unhappy with the additional spending, especially after many agencies received huge infusions of money under the just-enacted economic recovery bill.
“At the same time, Democratic Sens. Robert Menendez of New Jersey and Bill Nelson of Florida are weighing whether to oppose the legislation over a provision buried in it that would moderate rules on travel to Cuba and would make it easier for Cuba to pay for imports of food and medicine.
“Democratic leaders hope to clear the bill - it passed the House last week - to meet a Friday deadline. That's when a stopgap funding law that keeps the government going, mostly at 2008 levels, runs out.
“Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., is also trying to keep the bill free of floor amendments that would force the measure into negotiations with the House that would delay enactment or kill the measure altogether.
“But that means Democrats will have to cast some politically difficult votes. One of the most uncomfortable was expected Wednesday afternoon on an amendment by Tom Coburn, R-Okla., to kill 13 so-called "earmarks" requested by lawmakers for projects sought by PMA Group, a lobbying company at the center of a federal corruption investigation.
“The PMA Group, which recently folded, had a reputation for funneling campaign money to lawmakers that obtained earmarks for its clients and is under investigation by the Justice Department over whether the company reimbursed some employees for campaign contributions to members of Congress who requested the projects.”

Daddy, How Did You Become a Natavist?

"Daddy, how did you become a nativist?"
"It was easy, Jimmy.  I just wrote some stuff that pissed off a liberal and he started calling me names"
"You said 'piss' Daddy.  Is that worse than being a nativist?"
"Nothing is worse than being  a natavist.  It means that Hillary and Harry Reid don't like me.  It means I think there is a noncomprehensive solution to immigration.  And I might be put on trial
at The Hague."
"Does that mean they'll take me away from you?"
'Let's hope not. But someday they might start seperating relatives of hate criminals from the herd."
"Are you a hate criminal, Daddy?  Who do you hate?"
"It's not that I hate anyone, Jimmy.  You don't have to hate anyone to commit a hate crime.  Liberals think that it's a hate crime to say something they don't want to hear.  They can be
controling and manipulative.  And they also have this problem that psychologists call
projection.  I'll explain it to you when you get older."
