"His office is so important that he should not be appearing on programs such as this."
Normally I’d say “I’d prefer to have the POTUS working on the major issues of the day” but with 0bama, I’d rather him be wasting time on silly talk shows than screwing up the world.

Terence P. Jeffrey, author of the new book Control Freaks: 7 Ways Liberals Plan to Ruin Your Life.
Below are two quotes from an NRO interview of Terence P. Jeffrey, author of the new book Control Freaks: 7 Ways Liberals Plan to Ruin Your Life.
"There is a reason why liberal politicians like President Obama don’t like school choice, even if they send their own children to very expensive private schools. They see the public-school classroom as a moral battlefield where they can wage a 13-year insurgency to capture the soul of your child."
. . . . . . . . . .
"The Obama administration acts as if it is possible for the government to construct an international regime that can control the global climate, but not a federal agency that can control our southern border. At the same time, it is more interested in protecting what it perceives to be the rights of terrorists than the real and inalienable rights of Americans.
"It wants to engage in activities not authorized by the Constitution while ignoring fundamental duties that are."

We Need A Telethon on Every Channel to Save the Financially Hurting Obama
In this interview Obama is sad and stupidly clumsy. Could he be any more out of touch? To return the Obamas to financial health you can send donations to me. In honor of the Democratic Party and common union practices I will take 96% off the top for administrative costs. The rest will be sent to the White House so that Barack and Michelle and the kids will not have to eat at soup kitchens between state dinners.

"Man, however, is always the same."
"Man, however, is always the same. And when so marked a difference
appears between two generations, it is certain that the solution
may be found in their respective circumstances. The principal
statesmen of the reign of Charles the Second were trained during
the civil war and the revolutions which followed it. Such a
period is eminently favourable to the growth of quick and active
talents. It forms a class of men, shrewd, vigilant, inventive; of
men whose dexterity triumphs over the most perplexing
combinations of circumstances, whose presaging instinct no sign
of the times can elude. But it is an unpropitious season for the
firm and masculine virtues. The statesman who enters on his
career at such a time, can form no permanent connections, can
make no accurate observations on the higher parts of political
science. Before he can attach himself to a party, it is
scattered. Before he can study the nature of a government, it is
overturned. The oath of abjuration comes close on the oath of
allegiance. The association which was subscribed yesterday
is burned by the hangman to-day. In the midst of the constant
eddy and change, self-preservation becomes the first object of
the adventurer. It is a task too hard for the strongest head to
keep itself from becoming giddy in the eternal whirl. Public
spirit is out of the question. A laxity of principle, without
which no public man can be eminent or even safe, becomes too
common to be scandalous; and the whole nation looks coolly
on instances of apostasy which would startle the foulest turncoat
of more settled times."

"None of this quite adds up to a Vast Left-Wing Conspiracy,"
Let’s see…
…it was vast (over 400 “journalists”)
…it was Left-Wing
…and they conspired to control the news in order to facilitate their left-wing agenda.
So, tell me again how this ISN’T a vast left-wing conspiracy??!!

Abortion: "The pro-aborts have painted themselves into the same corner that the pro-slavery movement found itself in so many years ago."
"The reality of what is in the womb is no longer at issue. In essence, it is no longer an issue about what the baby is, but rather where the baby is. The argument is the personhood of the baby. The pro-aborts have painted themselves into the same corner that the pro-slavery movement found itself in so many years ago. As the argument went then, a slave really isn't a person. The argument was that there were two different "persons" in the U.S. Constitution. One for slaves, and one for everyone else. As ridiculous as that sounds today, it held water for many years, primarily by judicial fiat perpetrated by activist judges legislating from the bench rather than upholding the Constitution. An ironic parallel in history indeed. The pro-aborts are in the same place today. If ever you want to condone murder, simply redefine someone as a non-person. Viola! Problem solved! Reality, of course, is quite different and not subject to man-made legal definitions."

Media Matters Representative and Breitbart Spar
This clip shows why Media Matters cannot be taken seriously.
It gets a little weird. Breitbart has four video tapes of the time frame they are discussing and has shown that they do not contain the alleged events. Boehlert, the flack from Media Matters, replies that it is a case of, 'He said, he said.' And Breitbart replies that, no way, it is all on video. And Boehlert replies that he would rather believe congressman Lewis. So, basically the leftie is saying, "Don't bring me any evidence unless it proves what I have already decided to believe. Because I will not consider evidence inconvenient to what I believe." Media Matters claims to do fact checking. But what good is a fact checker who will not even look at facts because they are in conflict with an ideological stance that he has made more important than facts?

Americans voted for Obama because he was a non-threatening black and they wanted to participate in making history. It’s that simple.
But now that he’s in office, they don’t like what he’s selling. A few more Obama “successes” and his poll numbers will really crater, especially when our energy prices “necessarily skyrocket”.

JournoList -- Is It A Vast Left Wing Conspiracy??? Did They Really Plant Accusations of Racism Just To Give Obama Cover??
Andrew Breitbart claims that JL is a conscious and planned conspiracy by leftist journalists to deliver biased news or no news at all of some events to the American public. Jonathan Strong in the Daily Caller has published some quotes from JournoList that give credibility to Breitbart's claims. When George Stephanopoulos hotly pursued the story about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright while questioning Barack Obama members of JL apparently became very angry and got together to circle the wagons rather than do journalism. They explicitly spoke of using the tactic of changing the subject by accusing leading Republicans of racism. I will close with four paragraphs from the Daily Caller story:
"Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.”
"Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate. Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.
In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”
"Michael Tomasky, a writer for the Guardian, also tried to rally his fellow members of Journolist: “Listen folks–in my opinion, we all have to do what we can to kill ABC and this idiocy in whatever venues we have. This isn’t about defending Obama. This is about how the [mainstream media] kills any chance of discourse that actually serves the people.”
"“Richard Kim got this right above: ‘a horrible glimpse of general election press strategy.’ He’s dead on,” Tomasky continued. “We need to throw chairs now, try as hard as we can to get the call next time. Otherwise the questions in October will be exactly like this. This is just a disease.”"
JournoList Flashback: Breitbart offers $100,000 for Contents of Liberal Media Coffee Clatch
Breitbart argues that the liberal bias of the MSM is not accidental. He argues that Journolist proves that it is an organized and conscious conspiracy.

Progressives and Reality
This is a post that was originally on this blog on Sunday, April 13, 2008.
Reality
I ran across this comment at Ace of Spades HQ http://minx.cc/?post=260061 yesterday. It was kinda funny and made sense. So here it is.
Liberals' reality can now be defined as:
anything Obama says it is (even if he didn't actually mean what you think he said).
Posted by: Gunless at April 12, 2008 09:44 PM (KIah1)
Of course, it made sense since I'd just been reading a lot of liberals explaining that Obama's comments about small town Pennslyvanians didn't mean what people thought they meant but what it obviously meant was too true to deserve discussion and why didn't I take my bitter ass to an Obama rally and get healed.

VIDEO: Why Obama Returned the Bust of Churchill to England
This is interesting information. It is unfortunate that it is unlikely anyone will be able to break through the press ban on deeply questioning anything about Obama. The white House's hostility to questions and open discussion will also give unending life to such speculation. I do know from my reading of history that cruel and systematic torture of subject populations was widespread within the British Empire in response to independence movements.

Gutfeld on Griffin
.
Here is some of what Greg Gutfeld wrote at Big Hollywood about this tasteless moment from Kathy Griffin:
"But the truly shameful thing about all this, is that anyone would find this joke shocking. And that’s the hypocrisy behind Griffin’s painful shtick. She prides herself on riding the “D list,” because she’s so outspoken, daring, and edgy. But when you look at everything she says, you realize she’s about as edgy as a pinball. In fact, every time she opens her piehole she validates the assumptions of the people whose approval she desperately seeks.
"I mean, making fun of a Republican’s kids? Using Levi Johnston to needle Sarah Palin? Swearing on CNN? Yeah, that’ll get you banned from Arianna’s cocktail parties.
"I know end tables with more guts.
"Look, calling Brown’s daughters hookers is classless, and it begs returning fire with a few mean-spirited comments of my own. But why would calling her a dead-faced synthetic sock puppet make matters any better? I mean, sure she’s adopted the shellacked look of a botoxed, frill-necked lizard – but that just insults all the other shellacked frill-necked lizards out there."
. . . . . . . . . . .
"And if you disagree with me, you probably shop at Walmart dressed as Hitler."

Carville: Democrats better start praying
It is always interesting to see George Stephanopoulos at work. He can take a poll that is very bad news for Democrats and by the time he is through talking about it you might almost think that the focus and import of the poll was the impending death of the Republican party. He can deftly distort everything and distill much of it down to any little bit of bad news there might be for the Republicans.
But there certainly is bad new here for Republicans. I find it difficult to believe but there are more people who trust the Democrats more in general and specifically to handle the economy. After everything that has happened over the past eighteen months I have to wonder how accurate those results are. But, even if the poll is way off on this question, you would end up with the public being about equally divided in their trust between the two parties. Even that causes me to wonder since I find it difficult to imagine that half of the American public has not noticed that Barack Obama is pretty damn incompetent.

Was the Russian Spy Swap Done So Quickly Just for Hillary and Other Democrats’ Political Gain??
"The Obama administration's rapid release of 10 Russian intelligence officers removed the prospect of a public trial revealing embarrassing facts about Russian influence operations, like the targeting of a key Democratic Party financier close to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
"Current and former national security officials critical of the speedy exchange with Moscow also said trading the 10 spies for four Russians less than two weeks after their arrest also limited U.S. counterspies from learning important details of Russian espionage and influence operations.
"Questions about the handling of the case were raised Tuesday during a closed-door briefing of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence."

St. Louis TEA Party Passed Resolution Condemning Racist and Politicized Actions of the NAACP
Everything below is a direct quote from Gateway Pundit that contains the text of the St. Louis TEA Party's resolution concerning the NAACP.
The St. Louis Tea Party Coalition passed a resolution last night condemning the racist attacks by the NAACP and the democratic-media complex.
St. Louis Tea Party Coalition Resolution
July 12, 2010
Whereas, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) was founded to advance the position of minority groups, and
Whereas a hallmark of the NAACP has been to do the important work of identifying and exposing remaining vestiges of racism and discrimination, and
Whereas the NAACP vocally stands against the discriminatory and harmful practice of labeling people with a broad brush, and
Whereas the NAACP decided to launch their 101st National Convention with a resolution condemning the Tea Party movement and labeling millions of their fellow Americans who subscribe to the movement as “racists”, and
Whereas the “Tea Party movement” is a label applied to patriotic Americans who have expressed their political free speech in the grand tradition of all that is American, that being the spirited expression of viewpoints in a 100% peaceful manner, and
Whereas, it is a hallmark of America that we settle our disputes civilly and avoid the gutter tactic of attempting to silence opponents by inflammatory name-calling, and
Whereas the very term “racist” has diminished meaning due to its overuse by political partisans including members of the NAACP, and
Whereas, the NAACP had an opportunity to preserve some semblance of legitimacy by standing up for Ken Gladney, the victim of a vicious racist battery conducted by a black avowed communist, even labeling him an “Uncle Tom”, but chose instead to use the opportunity to mock the St. Louis Tea Party, and
Whereas, the NAACP has refused to denounce the New Black Panther’s call to murder white cops and their babies, and
Whereas, the NAACP does its entire membership a grave disservice by hypocritically engaging in the very conduct it purports to oppose,
Now therefore be it resolved that the St. Louis Tea Party condemns the NAACP for lowering itself to the dishonorable position of a partisan political attack dog organization, and,
Be it further resolved that the St. Louis Tea Party calls on similar organizations to join in unanimous condemnation of this despicable behavior, and
Be it further resolved that we demand that the NAACP withdrawal their bigoted, false and inflammatory resolution against the tea party for any further consideration, and
Be it further resolved that these organizations call on the Internal Revenue Service to evenly apply their standards and consider the tax-exempt status of the NAACP considering the degree to which they are engaging in habitual partisan political behavior.
Adopted unanimously, this day, July 12th, in the year of our Lord, 2010.
A copy of this resolution shall be sent immediately to the NAACP at: washingtonbureau@naacpnet.org
