Why am I running five videos on Faberge eggs? They are the perfect symbol of an out of touch elite that governs a population sliding into depression and unending and massive unemployment yet feels no shame at opulent balls like the recent one at the White House. They have not a clue how barbarically tasteless their excesses appear to those on the outside who daily make do with less to pay the taxes for such craziness as having a chef flown across the country to prepare one meal. These clueless elites do not see why it might not be good taste to consume so conspicuously on money bled from the productive layers of society. I could have just as well have laid out the wild excesses of the court of Louis XIV. A major commonality in all three instances is the obvious separation between the great mass of society and a blind aristocracy that feels justified in spending the fruits of the labor of others without check or any thought about the propriety of their public excesses. Do Barack and Michelle believe in the divine right of presidents?
