You Seldom Hear A POTUS Say Anything This Stupid

From Don Surber via Pundit and Pundette I got this unusual quote from Barack Obama: “When our government is spoken of as some menacing, threatening foreign entity, it ignores the fact that in our democracy, government is us.” He said this in his commencement speech at the University of Michigan last week.
I'm not exactly sure what to make of such mindless drivel. Has Obama read the constitution? If he had he might have picked up some basics like laws are not passed by all of us but only by a few hundred people. Or that the laws are administered a couple of million out of hundreds of millions.
I read the constitution and know I live in a representative republic. But this former university instructor who somehow got himself elected president thinks this is a democracy. (He does not make a University of Chicago education look like it is actually worth spending money for.) But his main point is that his critics should shut up. And he has a history of dragging out any old lie to back up that irrational, whiny demand.
Some of me wonders if a lot of what has him so out of touch is his sociopathy. People with personality disorders are never able to keep the boundaries like the one between him and me straight. His narcissistic bent causes him to be unable to empathize with others. But it could also make him incapable of appreciating that just because it's all hunky dory for him it does not inevitable follow that times are great for everyone. He lacks the ability to understand these distinctions and it is too late for him to learn.
This once again spotlights the fact that it would have been so much better if the media had done their jobs and actually looked closely at this guy's life and character. That would have been so much better than some of them reading his ghost written bios and pronouncing his a first class temperament.
