What Maddow says makes perfect sense if you look at the situation without any context at all. I am all for American workers getting high wages. But for a family with four or five jobs, lucky to get $10 or $12 an hour, to have to sacrifice so that a few can make $30 an hour and gold plated benefits strikes me as designed for failure. One big indication that there is something wrong here is that the market has told the Big Three that these wages are unsustainable.
But I doubt that Maddow cares about any of this. She just likes to bad mouth Republicans and impute evil motives to them.
