This is an unusual and beautiful story. My title outlines the basic plot but lacks everything vital. I suspect that the communications from God are streaming around us like always on, high speed broadband. But I miss out on almost all of it because I don't know how to properly tweak all the settings.

I've read the story before but this part stands out particularly: "how many opportunities just like that one had I missed along the way .. all because I didn't want people to think I was strange." Kind of gives you that pit in your stomach.
I'm off now to tweak my radar. :-)
