from Psalm Thirty-three

**********************************************************
The LORD looketh from heaven; he beholdeth all the sons of men.

From the place of his habitation he looketh upon all the inhabitants of the earth.

He fashioneth their hearts alike; he considereth all their works.

There is no king saved by the multitude of an host: a mighty man is not delivered by much strength.

An horse is a vain thing for safety: neither shall he deliver any by his great strength.

Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;

To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield.

For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name.

Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee.

Amen. God is our strength and shield - a mighty fortress and help in times of trouble. Vain is the help of man. God is just about to point the index finger of His right hand - and no one will restrain Him or the activity He has commanded.

Why should we fear what man can do to us?? God is with us. When we fear God, we fear nothing else - and God shows Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are perfect towards Him - looking to Him.

God is about to rise upon us as He points the index finger of His right hand - and there is nothing our enemies can do unto us.

Our God reigns and it is good to look to the throne and know how great He is and that He is in control.

I know what is coming.... and have no fear. If men were wise, they would fear God. Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.

God bless you!! - great post.

Psalm 127

1Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

Suzie-
I find the Psalms to inspiring, encouraging and always beautiful. I have never researched this but I think that it is the OT book most often quoted by Jesus.
